Something Different http://flic.kr/p/nfxqZP I find it very difficult to capture the beauty and feel of a scene in the rainforest.

Perhaps you could consider this one as an artistic impression of it.

Tell me how terrible it is.

Picnic under the Stars II http://flic.kr/p/ne9gwJ A 4 image stitch of a mushroom shaped picnic area overlooking the Mary Valley. The flash was triggered wirelessly.

A Mossy Panorama http://flic.kr/p/nb7hzK A panorama from a bushwalk this morning. Very picturesque and difficult to capture the true beauty of the scene.

Had I worn appropriate footwear, I might have contemplating getting a bit wet to get a better angle on this.

Still hurt from the walk, short but steep. The downhill component was harder than the uphill component in my opinion.

Cascading Cascades http://flic.kr/p/nc7jQT A still from a timelapse I shot out here. Very pretty, lovely to see it flowing again as it was dry on my previous trip.

The Forest Floor http://flic.kr/p/mVGzaK Great to see some water flowing through the local cascades again.

Went out to try my hand at more nature shots, but left feeling relatively uninspired. Time for a trip somewhere I feel.

Dickabram Bridge Long Exposure http://flic.kr/p/mKCsC4 A long exposure of the historic bridge. I think the black and white works quite well for the subject.

Cedar Pocket Vortex http://flic.kr/p/myJ9XP Spent too much time around the house yesterday, so I thought I’d have another go atone of these.

It is hard to believe that when we went out and took these shots, the dam capacity was close to empty, I heard it was sitting around 5% capacity, but i can’t confirm that.

Irrespective, that I can’t corroborate that, even in the underexposed foreground you can see it is quite low. However, it is now at 125% capacity and spilling!

Cedar Pocket Dam Startrails http://flic.kr/p/mo5eWG This is the composite from last nights startrails timelapse.

You can see that the pesky clouds caused some of the stars to ‘break’.

First night out with the Samyang 14mm f/2.8. Such an amazing field of view!

Cedar Pocket Stars http://flic.kr/p/mkAp3A Shot out for some star trails last night. This is the combined effort of all my shots in quick succession.

The clouds means I am not so happy with the photo, but I quite dig the video.

Mary Valley Wormhole http://flic.kr/p/mcYEjx A different take of a scene I have previously shot.

We raced out to catch the milky way. I took this whilst we awaited the moonset.

It is 56 exposures at 30seconds a piece. (and about 4 days of post processing to work out exactly how to do the vortex).

Picnic Under the Stars http://flic.kr/p/kXEbAg I spent Friday night meandering through the Mary Valley waiting for moonset and the Milky Way to rise.

This was the last location of the night. I wish I had taken another photo to the right hand side to get the full arch. Unfortunately this is as much as i received.

I placed a strobe in the picnic area and triggered it with some triggers I received for my birthday.

Dickenbram Bridge Panorama http://flic.kr/p/kVRz7g Miva, Queensland, Australia.

Went on a bit of a roadtrip on Sunday with the family with the intention of photographing this bridge.

I am lead to believe it is one of only two combined road/rail bridges in the country. However, it has been a while since a train has been over it.

This is a 5 image stitch at 28mm.
